The Teacher

"Our role as a teacher is not to mold the child to a predetermined image that we have set for him, but to assist him step by step, guiding his growth with the knowledge that he is unique and with recognition of the individual differences among children." -- Mrs. Norma Ong Ching, Directress

Who is the Teacher? What is her role?

Our teachers take joy and pride on guiding our students. A teacher is a friend and a playmate
She willingly and actively listens to a child and is sensitive to his developmental needs.

A teacher is a classroom manager
She provides an environment conducive to learning by drawing out a child's talent and stimulating his creativity. She is responsive to child-initiated activities. She is resourceful and creative. She designs materials that aid in effective teaching. Most of all, she ensures the safety of the child at all times.

A teacher works in partnership with parents in bringing about the optimal development of the child
She respects parents' opinions and is sensitive to their needs. she strikes a balance between her expertise in educating children and parents' invaluable knowledge about their child's personality and individuality.

Who are our people?
Our English and Chinese teachers are graduates of reputable schools like U.S.T., U.P., Ateneo and La Salle.

Our English teachers have undergone extensive training in progressive early childhood education in U.P. and Ateneo.Whenever a student needs assistance, our teachers are always there for them.

Our Chinese teachers have undergone extensive training in progressive early childhood education sponsored by the Philippine Association of Chinese-Filipino Schools, especially Chiang Kai Shek.

All our teachers are supervised by a team of program coordinators or teacher-trainors who have had at least 6 years teaching experience and who are masters degree holders or are masters degree candidates in early childhood education or child psychology.
